Donna Brazile: What is Your Motivation?
I am shocked at the lengths that some people will go to in order to sell books. Sacred secrets and behind the scenes agreements are all fair game for an author. As a political observer I feel that some agreements, especially at the highest levels of the DNC, should remain secret. The Republicans are in control of government right now. They do not have much to show for it legislatively but they are trying to lead. Today, November 7th, is Election Day, and Democrats should be focused on trying to win back a few seats in order to implement our vision.
Democrats won seats in New Jersey and Virginia as Governors. They also made significant leverage in Virginia as the first transgender candidate to be elected. There was a Hispanic woman elected as a first time participant. There were also first time Mayors elected throughout the country. Democrats now completely control the legislature in Washington state. We also made inroads in Delaware County, PA which was a Republican stranglehold for years. You had to be Republican to get anything done in Chester, PA. All of these wins portend a rough road to travel for Republicans going forward. Donald Trump said that Ed Gillespie did not embrace him enough in VA. He sounds so tired on his Asian trip as he gives his staid speeches.
Donna Brazile was building a spectacular reputation in political circles. She was the first African American to run a major campaign as she almost guided Al Gore to the Presidency. If it wasn't for those silly hanging chads, we might be telling a different story right now. She worked for Jesse Jackson and Walter Mondale also. She also briefly chaired the Democratic National Committee when Debbie Wasserman Schulz was forced to resign after it became known that they tried to sabotage the campaign of Bernie Sanders. She bristled at some of the perks of the office. A 'body woman', whatever that is, and a chauffeur driven vehicle. She didn't turn anything down though. Bernie made the Democrats take notice but in the end Hillary Clinton won the nomination.

When Hillary Clinton fainted while at an event, Donna Brazile claims that she considered replacing her with Joe Biden. Biden had decided not to run after his son Beau died of brain cancer. I am looking for younger leadership in the future. Joe has to be almost 70 and if you are in it then usually you get elected to two terms. In reality, Donna Brazile didn't have the power to do what she states in her book. Also, she stated that the Clinton campaign made an agreement to dictate the finances of the DNC. Sadly, it was revealed that Barak Obama left the party $10 to $20 million in debt. The Clinton campaign raised a lot of money to run a viable national campaign. They should have had some say about how the money was spent.
Donna Brazile made a major mistake when she forwarded potential questions to Clinton before a debate with Trump and got caught. It sullied her reputation in a major way. Hillary was much more prepared than Trump in all facets of the debates. Brazile also said the Clinton campaign was cultish and impenetrable. Really Donna? She was running the show at the time. This was not her first rodeo. I can imagine the speed at which decisions have to be made. Opposition research is key to winning a race. Clinton suffered from the revelation that she used a private email server to conduct government business. Trump is still suffering as a result of Russian interference in the election. The current controversy with Senate candidate Roy Moore will leave them injured. I just want Donna Brazile to focus on moving forward and stop using her position to sell books.
